Two Hyundai Genesis sedans damaged in transporter accident
The past few months have been rough for any foreign car traveling on or in the back of a truck. First the Kia Kee Concept broke free of its restraints and slammed into the front wall of its transporter — resulting in Kia canceling the car’s North American debut at last year’s Los Angeles Auto Show — then a truckload of new VW found their way into the San Diego Bay in late December. And now, two of Hyundai’s newest vehicles are heavily damaged after yet another transporter mishap.
It remains clear how the accident actually happened, but the results are clear — two Hyundai Genesis sedans may be off the road for good.
The accident happened in South Korea and left one Genesis sedan laying on its side on the ground. On its way from its perch atop the truck, the car apparently smashed the rear roof section of the blue Genesis sedan being transported below it.
Despite the car carnage, no injuries were reported.
