Spyker will finally make D12

Spyker has been promising the D12 Peking to Paris SUV for a while now. It was unveiled back in 2006 at the Geneva Auto Show, and the D12 has been part of the Dutch company’s promotions ever since. It now seems that Spyker is making good on its promise, and the luxury SUV will go into production next year. The D12 carries the same curvy lines (although somewhat bloated) as its C8 siblings.

Under the hood, Spyker will place a Volkswagen W12 engine and is supposed to make the 0-60mph sprint in 5 second and hit a top speed of 185mph. While this kind of performance is in Porsche Cayenne Turbo S territory, the D12’s expected price of £186,000 (about $300,000 at current rates) gives it very little direct competition.
