Tata Motors has a long history in the Indian car market. Electrical shift-on-the-fly is a mechanism that allows the shifting of two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive while the vehicle is moving and the limited slip differential limits the torque and speed difference between the wheels. Furthermore, a rugged ladder frame and alloy wheels increase the off-road capabilities of the car. The powerful engine is mated to the independent double wishbone suspension in the front and parabolic leaf spring in the rear. These further improve the handling and stability of the car.
